Meta’s Horizon Worlds is a free platform available for Quest 2. Recently having integrated with Meta Horizon Venues, the merging of the two offers an application which brings larger events to life – focused on musical performances (Billie Eilish, John Legend, Notorious B.I.G), comedy shows, sporting events, and other unique experiences. Avatars are customizable, expressive, and stylized; utilizing hand-tracking #technology alongside capturing your facial expressions to deliver a more immersive appearance. Users can enjoy a host of collaborative tools to enhance the experience, ranging from spatial audio, whiteboards, sticky notes, meeting notes, idea pinning, privacy/security controls, and more. While the upload of custom environments is not currently available on the platform, visitors can still take advantage of the upwards 10,000 worlds available for visiting within the Meta Horizons Worlds app. For a list of upcoming event and concert dates to attend in VR, click here.
